Cider and perry

We make fine cider and perry, made with 100% freshly pressed juice pressed from unsprayed fruit gathered from local orchards. Almost all of our ciders are made using wild yeast, so they better reflect the apples from which they are made and the land from which they come.

Simple : Local : Responsible : Sustainable : Supportive

We make a core range of blended ciders, as well as an ever-changing range of Limited Edition ciders. To find out more, please click on the button below.

Humblebee apple juice - refreshingly simple, reassuringly natural

We make delicious apple juice, in the same way we make our ciders - from 100% freshly pressed juice pressed from local, unsprayed apples … but then bottle and pasteurise the juice, rather than let it ferment. The process is refreshingly simple, the result is strikingly tasty.

Nothing added, nothing taken away

Traditional cider apple orchard in Dymock

When we’re not making cider and perry, we spend our time in traditional orchards, either as a volunteer with the Gloucestershire Orchard Trust, or helping to conserve and maintain orchards on a commercial basis. We plan and plant new orchards, we maintain old orchards, we prune fruit trees, and we teach orchard management skills and techniques.

The best way to ensure a rare cultivar survives is to plant it in as many different location as possible, so we’re working to have as many Gloucestershire varieties of apple available for sale as possible (the current count is 65) - and although not complete, we believe it’s the widest range of Gloucestershire apple cultivars available anywhere.

Passing Thoughts

More commonly referred to as a blog, this is where we share our thoughts about all manner of things, mostly related to the pomological world and orchards in general, but also about things that are happening in the wider world, about why we give our Limited Edition ciders the names we do, about the cider industry as a whole … and very occasionally we write about our own cider and perry.
